PrevCare EHI Export Format — prevcare-ehi/1.0

This page documents the electronic health information (EHI) export format produced by PrevCare for single-patient and patient-population exports (ONC § 170.315(b)(10)). It is generated from the same data dictionary included as manifest.json in every export archive.

Archive layout

Each export is a ZIP archive containing manifest.json (the data dictionary), export-metadata.json, reconciliation.json, README.txt, and:

Encoding rules

fileFormat
NDJSON — one JSON object per line, UTF-8, LF-terminated.
joins
Files are normalized. Join on the primaryKey and relation fields declared per model.
deletedRows
Soft-deleted rows are included and retain their stored deletion markers.
pointInTime
All export types select and serialize rows inside a repeatable-read snapshot; every model with createdAt is additionally bounded by the declared transactionTime.
nullEncoding
SQL NULL is encoded as JSON null. An empty string is a distinct value.
dateTimeEncoding
DateTime values are encoded as UTC ISO 8601 strings.
numericEncoding
Integers and floating-point values are JSON numbers; BigInt values are decimal strings.
jsonEncoding
JSON columns retain their stored JSON structure. JSON embedded in text remains a string.
enumEncoding
Enums use the stored Prisma enum value listed in the field definition.
binaries
Files named by a model's fileFields (an uploads/ path or a /documents/<id> link) are copied to binaries/; binaries/index.json maps each file to the rows that reference it, and unavailable files (or a /documents/<id> link whose upload row is gone) are listed in reconciliation.json.
actors
Actor rows are included only when referenced and contain only allowlisted fields.
patientAccounts
A model with patientAccount also writes the exported patients' own rows, in full except the listed excludedFields, to patientAccount.file (e.g. demographics on User).
redactions
Credentials carried inside rows are removed: the Chime JoinToken in MeetingAttendee.attendeeData, and the content of notifications that carried a one-time code or a sign-in, activation, payment or meeting link (replaced by a redaction marker).
references
Reference rows are included only when reached from exported patient, actor, or reference records.
exclusions
EXCLUDED models are documented for transparency but never receive an export file.
